The glue and chemical used in a mattress are water-based and has been shown to give out 80% of their original volume on the average. The new smart mattress material researched by my buddy uses very stabilized foam and latex without any water based glue, which is the main cause of releasing toxic fumes. Their engineers came up with a method to mold each mattress together uniformly using a special patented manufacturing process. Spontaneously, this struck me as a great idea as we do not have to inhale toxins as we sleep through the nights.
Besides being toxic free, mattresses should also be anti-odor, anti-microbial, anti-static, etc and engineered carefully.
