Yoga DVDs for Beginner
If your interested in doing yoga but are uncomfortable abut joining a class because you can’t even come close to touching your toes, consider a yoga DVD. There are many yoga DVDs out there but not all are for beginners. Some of the DVD’s that are for beginners have titles that give you no clue as to what level the DVD is at.
Yoga for Weight Loss ( Element) is appropriate for the beginner but more advanced yoga practitioners might like it also because the scenery is quite beautiful. It is filmed a very pretty garden which overlooks a gorgeous ocean view.
All you need for this DVD is a yoga mat. These are available in sporting good stores and I always see them at the major discount chains such as TJ Maxx and Ross Dress For Less. They cost about $25.00. The DVD lasts for 50 minutes.
Ashley Turner, an L.A. yoga guru gives the instructions and she assumes you know nothing about yoga – very helpful for the beginner yoga practitioner. She is easy to follow and offers more alternatives than most yoga DVDs i.e. if you can’t quite do this pose try modifying like this.
The music which I find really does seem to make a difference in exercise DVD’s is an unusual variety for a yoga DVD – some classical guitar and some Latin. Usually Yoga DVD’s have new age type music.
