It seems great to have a website to promote your internet business. The only problem is that there are thousands, if not millions, of other websites out there. You may have the best site in the world, but it will do you no good unless you have visitors coming to see it on a regular basis!

It would be great to test your copy, website navigation, etc. too without having to spend hundreds, or thousands, of dollars to do it. Become active in communities. No matter what your website is about, you are sure to find some active online forums with a similar topic. Go ahead and answer some questions there, and use that opportunity to post a link back to your own domain. Now be sure to follow the rules and avoid looking like a spammer. Many online forums and other communities will let you put a link in your signature though.
Answer Questions. There are many websites like Yahoo Answers, How To Websites, etc. If you can help people, you are sure to find some ways to drop a link back to your website in them.
Set Up Social Profiles. If you are already on social networking websites, make sure you put your own website links into your profile. People will look for more information about you, and they are bound to check out your own domains too. You can also find many social bookmarking websites for links back to your website. These are very popular these days, and they can attract many interested people.
Write Articles and Press Releases. You can find dozens, if not hundreds, of article websites. Submit good content, and then direct interested readers back to your own site. You may also find some related blogs where the webmaster is looking for content. You can offer to provide an article in order to get a link back to you!
